Kids Chance of South Carolina is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide higher education opportunities for children of South Carolina’s injured workers. To qualify for the scholarships, the student must have a parent who was seriously or fatally injured while employed in South Carolina. Kids Chance is comprised of individuals from all aspects of the workers’ compensation process to include: attorneys for the injured workers, attorneys for the employers, WC Commissioners, insurance adjusters, and companies who provide services to injured workers. Kids Chance is currently paying scholarships in excess of $30,000.00 per semester to these deserving students. On Friday, September 21, 2012, Spann Wilder Law, LLC was a sponsor in the Kids Chance Golf Tournament held at Coosaw Creek Golf Course in Charleston, SC. Spann Wilder Law is proud to report that our foursome comprised of Jeffery W. Wilder, Michael Grant, Ryan Stoney and Mike Morrell brought home the silver in this Captain’s Choice match with a score of 56!!! It is always our mission to make a positive impact in the local and state-wide community and when fun and competition are a part of the equation, it’s just too hard to turn down the opportunity.
