Attorney Tiffany Spann-Wilder was arrested “for a cause” on June 27, 2012. Tiffany was one of a number of local business and community leaders who surrendered to the local police on the Trident Technical College campus for several hours to solicit friends and family members for contributions to help children with Muscular Dystrophy go to summer camp, assist with medications, research and varying items to offset out of pocket expenses for their parents. Muscular Dystrophy is a condition in which a person’s muscles get weaker and weaker and ultimately stop working. The disorder is very debilitating and leads to problems with the way the body works. Attorney Spann-Wilder was able to make a difference by helping to raise $1,497.00 in one day by making phone calls and sending emails to friends, family and colleagues. The event was a huge success earning $93,097.00 from all who were involved.
